The most recently painted work in the series is 'Songe érotique' (Erotic Dream), this time with a work by another well-known rococo painter, Jean-Honoré Fragonard (1732-1806), in the background. Fragonard's works are light in color, with lots of pink and other pastel shades. Fragonard was a master of light and was already ahead of 19th century impressionism with his painting style. Here, too, a tender, slightly erotic gaze exchanged between two characters. We see the young woman in Woestenborghs' work in a dynamic pose. She stretches and bows her head backwards. We also see Fragonard's light returning to Woestenborghs. This time he actually chose a light box as a carrier.
