CATCH ’22 at Frank Taal Galerie shows work by 22 artists from its program, supplemented with some works by guest artists. Is CATCH '22 a catch-22? A catch-22 is a paradoxical situation in which it is impossible to achieve a desired outcome because the 'rules' do not allow it due to contradictions. The term originates from the novel Catch-22 by Joseph Heller (1961), which describes a general situation in which an individual must accomplish two actions that are mutually dependent on the other action, which must be completed first (source: Wikipedia ).
